It is with great sadness to announce that one of our beloved faculty, Tim Butts of the School of Science & Design Innovation – discipline NEST (Science & Technology) passed away from this plane in 2017. He was 56.
In 2016, Tim finished another commercial custom-built solar awning and ballast roof top solar system (1.47 mw) he built by himSelf with his solar crew in Southern California. He left us too young, yet his brilliant Soul needed to journey on… Light has dimmed on Earth, but the night sky shines brighter with his light guiding us to Solar – Vegan Heaven. A beautiful man, his cheerful, vibrant presence will be sorely missed.
His NEU colleague and friend, Dr. Doug Linman wrote:
“Our time on Earth is not finite nor predestined by design. We are remembered on what we do, who we are and the encouragement and love unselfishly delivered for the sake of others. Timothy Butts, a person I got know over nearly three years to call him brother and friend passed away unexpectedly. Our plans to work together for the benefit of humanity will not fade away but will become even more encouraged to launch and succeed by his spiritual presence. Let his great and endearing spirit live onward in all that we do. His heart will be our heart, his soul will be our soul, his contribution to life and family will endure far past this time. Thank you Tim for entering our lives, making them better and forever providing us a reason to remember why we exist to help others.
